Particles and materials of high molecular weight are unable to pass through the 0.01 micron UF membrane so that only fresh water and dissolved minerals get through.

Compact systems to remove hardness and prevent formation of scale deposits. Feedwater enters the unit and passes through the ion exchange resin, which causes the replacement of calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions to give softened water. Periodically, the exchanged calcium and magnesium is removed from the resin by regeneration using salt solution supplied from the brine tank. The regeneration process is fully automatic.

The RO unit uses its own faucet, which is usually installed on the kitchen sink. Adapter Valves are installed by disconnecting the faucet line from the supply line and connecting each to either end of the adapter valve. Includes a ball valve to shut off the RO feed water at the source. Diverter valves attach to a standard threaded faucet. The handle on the valve allows you to switch the water flow back and forth from the sink to the filter without disconnecting the valve.

One of the benefits of push-in fittings is that installations can be quickly disconnected for service. The tube can be removed by simply pushing the collet in squarely against the fitting.
